Ireland Accuses Israeli Occupation of Genocide in Gaza

Doha: Irish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Simon Harris accused today the Israeli occupation of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, Harris stated that it was clear that Israel aims to remove Palestinians from Gaza as part of an ongoing pattern of war crimes. He emphasized that the international community has not exerted sufficient pressure on Israel to alter its course of action.

Harris further mentioned that the Irish government is considering a bill that would ban trade with illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories. He described the Israeli government's efforts, which involve providing minimal aid to thousands of starving Palestinians, as contemptible.

In his remarks, Harris also accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of pursuing explicit political goals at the expense of Palestinian civilian lives in Gaza. He asserted that the occupation was working to cleanse Gaza of the Palestinian people, characterizing it as a war crime and a case of forced displacement.
