Iran’s Aggression Against Qatar Sparks International Condemnation

Doha: In a recent editorial, Al-Watan newspaper criticized Iran's aggressive attacks on Qatar and other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, describing them as a severe violation of national sovereignty and regional stability. The editorial highlighted that these attacks were unexpected, especially given Qatar's significant efforts to prevent conflict and promote dialogue to resolve tensions.

According to Qatar News Agency, global leaders have expressed solidarity with Qatar, condemning Iran's actions as a breach of Qatar's sovereignty and territorial integrity. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has emphasized the importance of political dialogue and diplomacy to contain the crisis and maintain regional security and stability.

The editorial detailed how Iranian ballistic missiles and drones targeted key areas in Qatar, including Mesaieed, Ras Laffan, and Hamad International Airport. Despite these hostile actions, Qatar has maintained a policy of restraint, consistently advocating for dialogue to ensure the region's security and stability.

Al-Arab newspaper praised the Qatari Armed Forces for their success in repelling the missile and drone attacks, showcasing their readiness and capability to protect the nation's resources and sovereignty. The defense system, including the Amiri Air Defense Forces, Qatar Amiri Air Force, and Amiri Naval Forces, worked in unison to counter the Iranian attacks, demonstrating professionalism and sending a message that Qatar's sovereignty is non-negotiable.

The paper also highlighted the role of the National Command Center in managing the crisis, equipped with modern technology and trained personnel to handle emergencies and disasters effectively. This integrated system aligns with international quality standards and contributes to the country's crisis management goals.

The Peninsula, an English-language newspaper, reiterated Qatar's effective crisis management approach amid Middle East tensions. State institutions responded swiftly and in coordination, ensuring security and daily life remained under control.
