Doha: The Investment and Trade Court welcomed a group of children from the Orphan Care Center (Dreama) under the Qatar Social Work Foundation, as part of the "Little Lawyer" program. This initiative is aimed at supporting community-oriented awareness projects by introducing children to the judicial process in a manner that is suitable for their age.
According to Qatar News Agency, the visit included an opportunity for the children to attend a session where a judgment was pronounced in one of the cases. This experience was designed to familiarize them with litigation proceedings and the workings of a judicial session. Following the session, the children were given a tour of the court's facilities, where they were informed about the court's responsibilities and the judicial services it offers. This helped to reinforce their understanding of justice and the importance of respecting the law.
HE President of the Investment and Trade Court, Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidly, highlighted that such visits are integral to the court's mission of enhancing its societal role and promoting a legal culture. He emphasized the significance of involving children from various backgrounds, including those in foster care, in awareness programs that expand their knowledge and boost their self-confidence.
Judge Al Obaidly further noted that the court values societal responsibility and social action as fundamental aspects of its institutional direction. Through these initiatives, the court seeks to bridge the gap between judicial work and society, fostering partnerships that aim for a positive and lasting impact.
