Hundreds of Colonists Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque Amid Heightened Tensions

Jerusalem: Hundreds of colonists stormed Tuesday Al-Aqsa Mosque, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police. Approximately 400 colonists entered Al-Aqsa Mosque in groups from the Mughrabi Gate, performing Talmudic rituals and conducting provocative tours of its courtyards on the third day of the Jewish Passover holiday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the occupation police imposed strict restrictions on the entry of worshipers arriving at the mosque, checking their IDs, and detaining some at its outer gates. The incident has heightened tensions in the area, drawing criticism from various groups who view the actions as provocative and a violation of the sanctity of the religious site.

The storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by colonists during significant religious holidays has been a recurring issue, often leading to clashes and protests. The heavy police presence and restrictions imposed on Palestinian worshipers have further exacerbated the situation, leading to widespread condemnation and calls for calm.
