Hot, Hazy Weather Conditions to Impact Visibility

Doha: Inshore weather until 6:00 pm on Friday is forecasted to be misty to foggy in some areas initially, transitioning to hot and hazy conditions throughout the day, with increased humidity by night, as reported by the Department of Meteorology. The report highlights the potential for poor horizontal visibility in certain areas during the early part of the day.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore weather conditions are expected to start misty and foggy, with scattered clouds evolving into partly cloudy skies at intervals. The report also warns of potential poor horizontal visibility initially in some offshore areas.

Wind patterns inshore are projected to be variable, starting at speeds under 5 KT and shifting to a northeasterly to northwesterly direction at speeds of 5 - 15 KT, with gusts reaching up to 24 KT during the day. Offshore, winds will be from the northeast to northwest at 4 - 14 KT, increasing to gusts of 21 KT by evening.

The sea state inshore is anticipated to range from 1 to 3 feet, rising up to 4 feet towards evening. Offshore conditions will see seas between 2 and 4 feet, increasing to 6 feet by evening. Visibility inshore is expected to vary from 4 to 8 km, dropping to 2 km or less in some areas initially. Offshore visibility will range from 3 to 8 km, also reducing to 1 km or less in some areas initially.
