Hong Kong Blaze: Death Toll Rises to 146

Hong kong: The death toll from the fire that erupted in the Wang Fuk residential complex in the Tai Po District of northern Hong Kong has risen to 146. Speaking at a press briefing, Police Representative Tsang Shuk-yin confirmed the latest figure of 146 fatalities based on the most recent updates, while not ruling out the possibility of additional victims.

According to Qatar News Agency, Hong Kong Emergency Services announced that the flames, which had engulfed several residential buildings within the complex, have been fully contained, emphasizing that the fire is now under control.

The fire had started in bamboo scaffolding on several buildings undergoing maintenance within the residential complex, before spreading to other parts of the structures, with dense plumes of smoke rising above the buildings while ash scattered into the air.
