HH The Deputy Amir Sends Condolences to Sri Lanka’s President

Doha: HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani has sent a cable of condolences to HE President Anura Kumara Dissanayake of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, following the deaths caused by the cyclone-related floods and landslides that struck the capital Colombo and its surrounding areas. HH the Deputy Amir also wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the disaster.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Deputy Amir expressed heartfelt sympathies to the families of the victims and the people of Sri Lanka during this challenging time. The communication highlighted Qatar's solidarity with Sri Lanka as the nation grapples with the aftermath of the natural disaster.

The cyclone has severely impacted Colombo and neighboring regions, leading to significant loss of life and injury, as well as extensive property damage. Emergency response teams in Sri Lanka continue to work tirelessly to provide relief and support to those affected by the floods and landslides.
