HH the Deputy Amir Sends Condolences to President of Cyprus

Doha: HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani sent a cable of condolences to HE the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, on the death of former President George Vassiliou.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Deputy Amir expressed deep sympathy and heartfelt condolences to President Christodoulides, reflecting the strong diplomatic relations and mutual respect between Qatar and Cyprus. The message highlighted the importance of solidarity during times of grief and loss.

George Vassiliou, who served as the President of Cyprus from 1988 to 1993, was recognized for his contributions to the nation and his efforts in leading the country through significant transitions. His passing marks the end of a significant era in Cypriot history, and condolences have been pouring in from leaders and dignitaries around the world.
