HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani Engages in Strategic Talks with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Abu dhabi: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where he was received by HH President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two leaders held discussions focusing on recent regional and international developments, as well as efforts to maintain stability in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting between HH the Amir and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan addressed the rapidly changing dynamics in the region, particularly ongoing tensions related to Iranian activities and their broader security implications. The dialogue also included an examination of how recent events have impacted global energy supplies and market stability.

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani shared on his official X account that the talks in Abu Dhabi involved a comprehensive discussion on regional developments and their consequences. The dialogue underscored the importance of collaboration in navigating the complexities of the current geopolitical landscape.

Following the discussions, HH the Amir departed from Abu Dhabi, concluding his fraternal visit to the UAE. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was present to see off HH the Amir and the accompanying delegation as they returned to Qatar.

In related news, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani also met with HE Secretary of State for Defense of the United Kingdom John Healey at the Amiri Diwan on Tuesday. Their meeting focused on the latest regional and international developments amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Additionally, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held discussions with HE Secretary of State for Defense of the United Kingdom John Healey in Doha. The talks aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in defense, and addressing the military escalation in the region and its repercussions on security and stability.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani also engaged in discussions with John Healey during his visit to Qatar. The meeting explored defense cooperation and joint coordination in response to current regional conditions. In a separate call with HE Minister of Defense of Italy Guido Crosetto, Sheikh Saoud discussed security updates and joint cooperation amid ongoing developments.

Furthermore, the State of Qatar reiterated its call for de-escalation in the region. Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized Qatar's firm stance against steps that could exacerbate conflict or threaten regional stability.

In another development, HE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed held a videoconference meeting with HE Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness of France, Nicolas Forissier, to discuss mutual trade interests. Also, HE Minister of Labor Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri chaired a meeting of the Workforce Planning Committee to review progress on initiatives under the National Development Strategy.
