Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has called for the Istisqa (rain-seeking) prayer to be performed across the country on Thursday morning, 22 Jumada Al-Ula 1447 AH, corresponding to November 13, 2024. HH the Amir will join worshipers for the prayer at the Lusail prayer ground.
According to Qatar News Agency, the call for the Istisqa prayer comes in response to the need for rainfall in the region. The prayer is a traditional Islamic practice performed during times of drought or insufficient rainfall, where Muslims gather to pray for rain and blessings from Allah.
