Gaza: Doctors Without Borders/M©decins Sans Fronti¨res (MSF) reported that Palestinians in Gaza continue to face significant hardships, including severe living conditions and a lack of sufficient aid, one month after a fragile ceasefire was implemented. The organization highlighted ongoing violence, with Palestinians reportedly still being killed and injured by Israeli forces almost daily in areas near the yellow line, which remains under Israeli control.
According to Qatar News Agency, Caroline Seguin, MSF's emergency coordinator in Gaza, explained that Palestinians often risk their lives when attempting to return to their homes, as the boundary line is not always clearly defined. She emphasized that the situation is exacerbated by the fact that some major hospitals are located in areas controlled by Israeli forces, limiting safe access to healthcare services.
The report also indicated that Israeli authorities continue to place significant restrictions on the entry of aid into Gaza. MSF and other organizations face difficulties in delivering essential supplies, including medical equipment, shelters, hygiene items, and spare parts necessary for maintaining vital infrastructure.
Seguin further noted the dire conditions faced by thousands of displaced individuals living in tents without access to water and electricity, amid piles of waste and outbreaks of skin, respiratory, and gastrointestinal diseases, with winter on the horizon. The organization has called for the immediate and unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
