Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has issued several Amiri decisions appointing new ambassadors to key international positions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Amiri Decision No. 54 of 2025 appoints Rashid Abdullah Mohammed Al Sheikh Al Kuwari as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Romania. This significant appointment reflects Qatar's ongoing commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations with Romania.
In a similar vein, Amiri Decision No. 55 of 2025 designates Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Dosari as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. This move is expected to bolster Qatar's diplomatic presence and enhance bilateral relations with Sri Lanka.
Additionally, Amiri Decision No. 56 of 2025 names Mansour Ali Fahad Al Shahwani Al Hajri as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Rwanda. The appointment aims to further Qatar's diplomatic engagement and cooperation with Rwanda.
The decisions are effective immediately and will be published in the official gazette, marking the start of these ambassadors' tenures in their respective countries.
