Heads of Working Group of Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council’s Economy, Trade, Industry Committee Meet in Saudi Capital

Riyadh: The heads of the working group of the Economy, Trade, and Industry Committee, stemming from the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council, held a meeting in the Saudi capital.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was co-chaired by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki, representing Qatar, and HE Undersecretary for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Eng. Rakan bin Waddah Tarabzouni, representing Saudi Arabia. Several officials from both countries also participated in the meeting.

The discussions centered around enhancing economic, trade, and industrial cooperation between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The participants explored ways to serve the mutual interests of both nations by strengthening their strong bilateral ties.

The agenda included examining mechanisms to facilitate import and export processes and promote bilateral trade. Additionally, updates on ongoing joint initiatives were reviewed, identifying existing obstacles and challenges, and exploring suitable mechanisms and solutions.

The meeting also focused on setting the next steps for the Economy, Trade, and Industry Committee. Both sides addressed the committee's strategic objectives, aiming to strengthen integration and enhance cooperation in line with the economic visions of Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
