Muscat: The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) is participating in the 62nd meeting of the Technical Committee for Civil Retirement and Social Insurance Authorities of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, convened in Muscat, Oman. The meeting spans two days and focuses on critical issues such as the Unified System for Extending Insurance Protection (USEIP), the Committee of Heads' work plan for 2026-2030, and initiatives aimed at bolstering integration between civil retirement and social insurance systems in the GCC region.

According to Qatar News Agency, Oman's Social Protection Fund is organizing an interactive meeting alongside this event on Wednesday. This meeting will include representatives from the civil retirement and social insurance authorities of the GCC states and will address questions related to the registration of GCC citizens working in Oman under the USEIP. The session specifically targets Omani employers and GCC-insured employees in Oman, with the goal of enhancing awareness and clarifying the mechanisms and procedures pertinent to the implementation of the USEIP.

GRSIA asserts that its involvement in the meeting underscores its dedication to strengthening the collective Gulf cooperation and exchanging knowledge and successful practices to benefit retirees and contributors across the GCC countries.
