Doha: Google has officially released the NotebookLM apps for Android and iOS, hours before Google I/O 2025. The launch marks a significant expansion of the AI-based note-taking and research assistant, which was previously only accessible via desktop since its introduction in 2023.

According to Qatar News Agency, the new mobile applications aim to provide users with the flexibility to utilize NotebookLM's features while on the move. NotebookLM is designed to assist users in understanding complex information through smart summaries and the ability to ask questions about documents and other materials.

The app also includes access to Audio Overviews, which are AI-generated podcasts based on user-provided source materials. Users can benefit from features such as background playback and offline support, ensuring that the service can be used even without an active internet connection.
