New york: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing the strategic partnership between the GCC and Egypt. The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, explored opportunities for expanding cooperation across various fields to serve their shared interests.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions also addressed the latest regional and international developments, with particular emphasis on the situation in the Gaza Strip. Both parties expressed concern over the actions of Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people. They highlighted the necessity of concerted efforts to achieve a ceasefire, ensure the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid, and resolve the crisis to maintain regional and international security and stability.
