French President Announces Recognition of State of Palestine at UN Conference

New york: French President Emmanuel Macron announced France's recognition of the State of Palestine.

According to Qatar News Agency, this announcement was part of Macron's speech at the United Nations General Assembly headquarters in New York. The occasion was the launch of the High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution.

Macron stated that the recognition of Palestine is a step towards initiating a peace process that addresses the needs of all parties involved. He highlighted that this decision aligns with the recognition of the State of Palestine by several other European countries.

He emphasized that the two-state solution is essential for peaceful coexistence between the states of Palestine and Israel, asserting that the time is ripe for this resolution.
