Gaza: The death toll from Israeli occupation's offensive on the Gaza Strip has risen to 71,424, with at least 171,324 people wounded since the genocide began on Oct. 7, 2023, according to Gaza's health ministry.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Tuesday, the ministry said Gaza hospitals had received five bodies and six injured people over the past 24 hours. It added that a number of victims were still trapped under rubble or lying in streets, beyond the reach of ambulance and civil defense teams.
Health officials said that since the ceasefire was announced in October, at least 447 people had been killed and 1,246 injured, while 697 bodies had been recovered from destroyed areas.
The ministry also reported the death of a one-year-old child due to extreme cold, bringing the number of children who have died from exposure since the start of winter to seven. Three other people were killed in a building collapse, raising the total number of deaths caused by the collapse of bomb-damaged structures to 24.
