Gaza: The General Directorate of the Palestinian Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip has appealed to the United Nations and humanitarian organizations for urgent assistance and rapid intervention to supply fuel essential for operating rescue machinery and equipment.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a concise statement Tuesday, the Civil Defense warned that most of the rescue equipment in the Strip's governorates has stopped responding to distress calls, something that endangers the lives of thousands of Palestinians and exposes them to death.
The appeal comes in the wake of shuttering the crossings almost entirely as the war of annihilation persists in the Gaza Strip, in addition to blocking the entry of fuel, as well as medical and humanitarian supplies.
On Monday, the Civil Defense announced that 60% of its vehicles had stopped functioning in the entire governorates due to the shortage of fuel and the essential spare parts required to repair them.
