Jordan: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Sunday met with Vice-President of the European Commission and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaia Kallas, who is currently visiting Jordan, to discuss developments in the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, Safadi stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure full compliance with the Gaza ceasefire agreement, the complete implementation of its provisions, and the adequate, sustainable, and immediate delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip.
He also emphasized advancing to the second phase of the agreement, linking stability to a clear political horizon that realizes an independent Palestinian state with sovereignty over the June 4, 1967 lines, and East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution.
He further highlighted the urgent need to halt the dangerous escalation and illegal Israeli occupation measures in the occupied West Bank, as well as violations of the historical and legal status of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
