Doha: A high-level panel discussion titled "Humanity's Next Chapter: Innovation and Impact from the Global South," organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was Held today on the sidelines of the 23rd edition of the Doha Forum 2025.
According to Qatar News Agency, the session was attended by HE Chairperson of Qatar Museums' Board of Trustees SHeikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Fund for Development HE SHeikh Thani bin Hamad Al-Thani, along with a number of senior officials, leaders of international organizations, and experts from the financial, telecommunications, and technology sectors.
In Her opening remarks during the session, HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad said that escalating humanitarian challenges require fresh perspectives that go beyond traditional response models, and that strengthen human dignity and the ability of individuals to rely on themselves even under the most difficult circumstances.
SHe noted that the State of Qatar believes financial empowerment is a fundamental pillar in the path of recovery and rebuilding communities, emphasizing that enhanced multi-sector partnerships among governments, the United Nations, financial institutions, and technology and telecommunications companies are the way to develop innovative solutions that address financial inclusion gaps in fragile and crisis-affected environments.
