Somalia: European stocks rose at the start of Tuesday's trading: boosted by rising precious metal prices and a surge in basic resource stocks. The European Stoxx 600 index climbed 0.3 percent by 08:14 GMT, following gains in defense and energy stocks yesterday (Monday) that propelled it above 600 points for the first time.

According to Qatar News Agency, the basic resources index rose 1% due to the increase in precious metal prices. Germany's DAX index gained 0.2%, reaching a record high, while Spain's IBEX index also climbed 0.4% to a record high.
