Geneva: European stocks closed mixed Thursday, as AI-related chip companies reported strong gains. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose 3.44 points, or 0.56 percent, to close at 615 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, France's CAC 40 index fell 17.85 points, or 0.21 percent, to close at 8,313 points. Meanwhile, Britain's FTSE 100 index climbed 54.59 points, or 0.54 percent, to close at 10,238 points. Germany's DAX index also rose, gaining 88.27 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 25,374 points.
