Doha: European stocks closed higher today, buoyed by the banking and defense sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Stoxx 600 index closed higher by 0.3%. While banking and defense sectors were strong performers today, the headline went to Novo Nordisk after the stock crashed more than 20% on weak guidance. The Danish maker of weight loss drug Wegovy lamented illegal compounding of weight loss drugs and said it is cutting its guidance for the year as a result.
