Egyptian President Calls for Unhindered Humanitarian Aid and Gaza Redevelopment

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday emphasized the critical need to ensure the unobstructed flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza, along with the full execution of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the region. He also called for immediate efforts toward the redevelopment of Gaza to restore its vitality and provide a dignified life for its residents.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the anniversary celebration of Egyptian Police Day, El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's commitment to fully implementing the Gaza ceasefire agreement and preventing any actions that might undermine this accord. He highlighted the substantial efforts by US President Donald Trump in facilitating this agreement.

El-Sisi pointed to the Sharm El 'Sheikh ceasefire agreement as evidence of Egypt's dedication, alongside its international partners, to maintaining peace and stability in the Gaza Strip. He condemned the ongoing systematic practices against the Palestinian people in their occupied territories and rejected any initiatives or actions aimed at displacing them from their homeland.

In his address, El-Sisi warned against the potential displacement of approximately 2.5 million Palestinians from Gaza, cautioning that such a scenario would effectively obliterate the Palestinian cause. He noted that this displacement could result in hundreds of thousands of Palestinians seeking refuge in Europe and Western countries, posing significant security, economic, and social challenges.
