Doha: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with his South Korean counterpart, Lee Jae-myung, who is visiting Egypt, to discuss regional issues of mutual interest, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, the two presidents reviewed efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the relevant UN Security Council resolution. El-Sisi reiterated his country's firm position that the two-state solution is the only way to achieve lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
They also exchanged views on the situations in several countries in the region, emphasizing the need to preserve the unity and sovereignty of states, reach comprehensive political settlements to their crises, and safeguard the resources of their people.
