Doha to Host FIFA Arab Cup 2025 Highlighting Arab Unity and Humanitarian Efforts

Doha: Al-Raya newspaper announced that Doha has emerged as a leading symbol of Arab unity, as the Qatari capital prepares to host the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani will graciously attend the opening ceremony at Al Bayt Stadium in Al-Khor, witnessing the tournament's kickoff and the opening match between Qatar and Palestine.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Raya emphasized that Qatar's hosting of the tournament is more than just a football event; it serves as a unifying force for Arabs, promoting solidarity and enhancing the region's global presence. The newspaper noted that Qatar's success in hosting events like the FIFA World Cup 2022 is a triumph for all Arabs, showcasing a positive image of Arab nations.

The newspaper highlighted Qatar's selection for the Arab Cup as a testament to Doha's status as a premier destination for major sporting events, owing to its world-class infrastructure and facilities. In a different context, Al-Sharq newspaper reported on the UN Humanitarian Coordinator's visit to a Qatari aid center in Gaza, praising Qatar's swift humanitarian response. The paper highlighted Qatar's October initiative, launching a humanitarian aid land bridge to alleviate Gaza's suffering, led by directives from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The newspaper added that HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad emphasized Qatar's focus on delivering aid to the most vulnerable in Gaza, prioritizing women, children, and patients. Al-Sharq affirmed Qatar's leading role in relief efforts since the October 2023 conflict, offering medical, developmental, and diplomatic support to aid Palestinian civilians.
