Doha Hosts Meeting of GCC Undersecretaries of Ministries of Interior.

Doha: Their Excellencies Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Interior of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries held a meeting in Doha Wednesday, chaired by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Abdullah bin Khalaf bin Hattab Al Kaabi. The meeting was a preparatory session for the 41st gathering of the GCC Ministers of Interior. According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting emphasized the importance of addressing global challenges and highlighted the opportunity to share visions and expertise. HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior stressed the meeting's role in forming a strategic approach to tackle security challenges and unify efforts on shared security concerns. HE Abdullah bin Khalaf bin Hattab Al Kaabi praised the ongoing security cooperation among GCC states, noting its evolution into a model of joint security action. He remarked on the successes and milestones achieved, contributing to the enhanced security and stability of GCC nations. From the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Battal underscored the meeting's significance in fostering fraternity and overcoming security challenges. He emphasized the aim of deepening the security and stability framework to ensure a secure environment for citizens, residents, and visitors within the GCC. HE Maj. Gen. Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah from Kuwait highlighted the meeting's role in discussing security issues and reviewing recommendations from specialized committees. He pointed out the importance of enhancing the efficiency of security agencies in combating crimes, with a focus on emerging threats like cybercrime, fraud, and drug-related offenses. The meeting, attended by HE GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Security Affairs, Brig. Hamad Ajlan Al Amimi, covered various agenda topics. These discussions aimed at strengthening joint Gulf security cooperation and formulating recommendations to be presented to the GCC Ministers of Interior.
