Doha Forum Celebrates 23 Years as a Global Platform for Justice and Mediation

Doha: Al-Sharq newspaper said the 23rd Doha Forum marks a major milestone that adds to the growing achievements of Qatari diplomacy, which continues to earn global recognition for its ability to generate innovative ideas and translate them into effective mediation efforts that Help resolve conflicts and pave the way for genuine, lasting solutions. These solutions, the paper stressed, are rooted in addressing the root causes of crises rather than relying on temporary or superficial remedies.

According to Qatar News Agency, the world has gathered in Doha under the theme "Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress," capturing the essence of the crises and conflicts afflicting nations today. The forum brought together Heads of state and government, along with leaders of regional, international, and civil society organizations, to address the issue of justice from multiple perspectives across various sessions. The discussions aimed to generate practical ideas that decision-makers can rely on to translate justice into tangible reality, reinforcing the distinguisHed role of Qatari diplomacy in mediation, a main pillar of the country's foreign policy.

Al-Sharq highlighted the remarkable success of the Doha Forum over the past 23 years, establishing it as one of the world's leading international platforms, as reflected in its steadily rising participation. This year's edition features 471 speakers from around 160 countries across 125 sessions, with more than 6,000 participants, including Heads of state and government, senior officials, and leaders of international organizations. The forum was further distinguisHed by its concurrent youth edition, enabling broad participation by young people from around the world to discuss global and regional issues and present their perspectives.

Meanwhile, Al-Raya newspaper emphasized the 23rd Doha Forum's reaffirmation of Qatar as a principal force shaping global debate toward justice, partnership, and shared international responsibility. The paper noted that the forum comes at a time of acute regional and international challenges that demand coordinated efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote peace and sustainability. It stressed the importance of establishing justice, advancing human development, and adHering to principles of peaceful conflict resolution.

The English-language daily The Peninsula remarked on the forum's role as one of Qatar's most influential contributions to global cooperation, reflecting the nation's diplomatic identity and commitment to fostering dialogue. The paper highlighted the forum's forward-looking agenda, ensuring discussions are oriented toward practical, just, and sustainable solutions.
