Doha: Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Community College of Qatar celebrated the graduation of 860 diploma and bachelor's degree students from its fourteenth cohort, the Class of 2025. HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater honored 59 outstanding graduates from the divisions of Management Science, Science and Technology, and Liberal Arts. President of the College, Dr. Khalid Al Horr, conferred the degrees in an atmosphere of pride and celebration of academic accomplishment. A distinguished gathering of ministers, ambassadors, senior officials, faculty, staff, parents, and guests of the College attended the ceremony.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater affirmed that graduating a generation of creative, critical, and responsible individuals is the cornerstone for achieving Qatar National Vision 2030, as it balances human, economic, social, and environmental development. She emphasized that the Ministry of Education and Higher Education believes universities are not places for rote learning but rather factories of ideas and centers of innovation and change.
She reiterated the Ministry's continuous support for the College and its students and its ongoing partnership in Community's journey of success, recognizing its leading role in empowering national talent and preparing them to be active partners in the nation's progress. Her Excellency also highlighted the College's achievement of securing full national academic accreditation as the first national higher education institution to earn this distinction. She noted that this was not merely an official recognition of academic excellence but the culmination of fifteen years of dedicated work and commitment to applied education.
She stated, "It is a testament to the profound impact the College has made on the national education system and its ability to combine quality, flexibility, and dedication to community service." She added, "Over the past fifteen years of Community's journey, we have seen its influence extend in every direction. We have seen its graduates across ministries, institutions, and agencies making a difference and embodying the value of true applied education. This affirms that Community's mission has reached the heart of society. It has opened its doors to both education and hope, becoming a source of pride for every family and a gateway to new opportunities for every student stepping into the future."
