Chinese President Xi Jinping Engages in Strategic Discussions with South Korean President

Beijing: Chinese President Xi Jinping, Monday, held talks with South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, who is visiting China. During the talks, both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations, in addition to reviewing a number of issues of mutual concern. According to Qatar News Agency, Xi noted both countries' close economic ties, with deep interlinkages between their industrial and supply chains, in addition to mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation. The Chinese President emphasized the importance of increasing exchanges and maintaining frequent communication between the two nations. Xi further suggested that China and South Korea should align their respective development strategies more closely, enhance policy coordination, expand their shared interests, and cooperate in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and green industries.
