Doha: China on Thursday launched the Pakistan Remote-Sensing Satellite (PRSS-1) from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The launch marks a significant development in the collaboration between China and Pakistan in the field of space technology.
According to Qatar News Agency, the satellite was launched using a Kuaizhou-1A (KZ-1A) carrier rocket and has successfully entered its planned orbit. The PRSS-1 is designed to aid in land resource surveys and disaster prevention and mitigation, highlighting its importance in enhancing resource management and response to natural disasters.
