Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the signing of the Doha Framework for the Peace Agreement between the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Congo River Alliance (M23 Movement).

According to Qatar News Agency, Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised the constructive mediation efforts undertaken by the State of Qatar that contributed to achieving this important step. The Ministry stressed the importance of all parties adhering to the provisions of the agreement and resolving the conflict through comprehensive national dialogue.

It further underscored the importance of working to fulfill the aspirations of the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo for peace, security, stability, and development. The Ministry also emphasized facilitating the delivery of humanitarian assistance to all affected areas.
