Arab Cup FIFA Qatar 2025: Algeria Coach Seeks Victory, Bahrain’s Anticipates Tough Clash

Al rayyan: Algeria coach Madjid Bougherra said his side is aiming for a stronger showing in their second Group D match against Bahrain tomorrow at Khalifa International Stadium, acknowledging fans' dissatisfaction after the opening draw with Sudan.

According to Qatar News Agency, Bougherra told reporters that the technical staff had worked on correcting mistakes from the first match, stressing a realistic approach to the tournament. He recalled that Algeria also faced early criticism in the previous edition before eventually winning the title.

Algeria forward Yassine Benzia added that the squad is determined to get back on track, noting that a red card had reduced their chances of securing victory despite their superior performance.

Bahrain coach Dragan Talajic described the game as difficult, praising Algeria's quality and experience. He said Bahrain were eager to win despite several absences. Striker Mahdi Abduljabbar underlined the importance of the match, saying the team aims to compete strongly for qualification.
