Amazon to Rely on Nvidia Technology in Next-Generation AI Chips

Seattle: Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing arm of Amazon, announced Tuesday that it will rely on a key technology from Nvidia in its next generation of AI-powered computing chips. The company added in a statement that it will adopt NV Link Fusion technology in a future chip, codenamed Trinium 4, but did not specify a release date.

According to Qatar News Agency, NV Link technology enables high-speed communication between different types of chips and is one of Nvidia's most important innovations. This technology will help the company build larger AI servers capable of recognizing and communicating with each other more quickly, a crucial factor in training large AI models that require connecting thousands of devices.

As part of a partnership with Nvidia, customers will have access to what AWS calls "AI factories," an exclusive AI infrastructure within its own data centers for greater speed and readiness.
