Al sadd: Al Sadd SC announced that its Brazilian player Claudinho will be absent from the first team due to injury. The club stated in a press release that medical examinations confirmed a partial tear in the lateral ligament of his knee.

According to Qatar News Agency, Claudinho sustained the injury during Al Sadd's match against Al Ahli in Round 2 of the Doha Bank Stars League last Thursday. The club indicated that the player will undergo a treatment and rehabilitation period of 8 to 12 weeks, with his return depending on the speed of his recovery.

Claudinho, 27, joined Al Sadd last January from Russia's Zenit Saint Petersburg.
