Kuala lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has successfully concluded the AFC Elite Futsal Referees and Instructors Seminar 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. The seven-day seminar gathered futsal instructors and referees from across the continent, focusing on enhancing fitness and keeping abreast of the latest technological advancements.
According to Qatar News Agency, the AFC emphasized its commitment to raising refereeing standards within the futsal landscape. The initial three days of the seminar were specifically tailored for AFC Futsal Instructors, emphasizing updates to the Laws of the Game and effective teaching methodologies.
The latter part of the seminar shifted attention to referees from the continent. Referees participated in various sessions designed to improve their skills through a combination of theoretical knowledge and rigorous physical activities.
In addition to discussions on the Laws of the Game, officials engaged in comprehensive conversations on topics such as uniformity in the Laws. They also underwent training to become acquainted with Video Support (VS) technology, ensuring that Asian referees remain aligned with global standards.
The AFC Elite Futsal Referees and Instructors Seminar 2025 concluded with an interactive feedback session, underscoring the Confederation's ongoing efforts to equip its Member Associations with the necessary resources to achieve their fullest potential.
