Al Sadd Eyes Recovery; Al Wakrah Targets Win

Doha: Spanish coach Felix Sanchez of Al Sadd expressed strong confidence in his team's ability to regain balance in Saturday's match against Al Wakrah, which will be hosted at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium as part of Round 5 of the Doha Bank Stars League.

According to Qatar News Agency, Sanchez told the media: "For us, this is an important opportunity, especially after our recent league loss, to come back strongly and put in a great performance against a strong team."

"Our players are motivated after the AFC Champions League match. Now they want to return to the league. We know that every league match is difficult, but we are confident in our ability to perform well against Al Wakrah," he added.

"In each season, we have to adapt to different tournaments and move quickly from one competition to another. The key is to regain physical fitness after the effort, then refocus on the league, because collecting points always remains the priority," said Sanchez.

Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media saying: "We prepared well for this match, as usual, and we know how difficult it will be. As for me, we are thinking for ourselves and we realize that if we want to win all the points, we must have the necessary focus."

"Al Wakrah are certainly capable of resuming our winning streak. We do not like losing and we know that we will face a difficult match against a very good team. This team has good players and a very good coach. However, my team is also very good and I have great confidence in the players. I know that when we play the way we know how, we can beat any team," said Moreno.

Al Wakrah currently sits in fifth place with seven points, one point ahead of sixth-placed Al Sadd, who have six points.
