Doha: Al-Ahli SC announced today the signing of Tunisian midfielder Zinedine Sassi on a five-year contract running through 2030. The 22-year-old joins the club from Al-Waab.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Ahli said the decision to sign Sassi was made in line with the technical staff's vision, as part of the club's efforts to strengthen the squad with players capable of contributing to upcoming competitions. The signing is part of a broader strategy by Al-Ahli to bolster their lineup during the current summer transfer window.
In addition to Sassi, Al-Ahli has secured the services of French player Ibrahim Diallo and Sohaib Jannan from Al-Duhail, as well as Othman Al-Yahri from Umm Salal, Khaled Radwan from Al-Khor, and Talal Ali from Al-Markhiya. These signings reflect the club's commitment to assembling a competitive team for the upcoming season.
Al-Ahli is preparing for the upcoming season with a pre-season training camp in the Netherlands, which will begin on Tuesday and run until August 3. The club's preparations are geared towards improving their performance in the Qatar Stars League, where they finished fourth last season, and making their debut appearance in the AFC Champions League 2.
