A 4.6-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Semnan Province, Northern Iran

Shahrud: An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit Shahrud, Semnan Province, northern Iran, on Friday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the University of Tehran's Seismological Center reported in a statement that the tremor occurred at 54:84 longitude and 36:54 latitude in Shahrud, at a depth of 10 kilometers. There have been no reports of casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.

The same city experienced another earthquake of 4.7 magnitude last Tuesday, but similarly, no casualties were reported.
