Gaza city: Medical sources reported that four Palestinians, including a child, were martyred and others wounded Wednesday in Israeli artillery shelling of Al-Tuffa and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods east of Gaza City. Several Palestinian homes in the eastern part of the city caught fire as a result of the shelling.

According to Qatar News Agency, earlier last night, four other Palestinians were martyred and others wounded in Israeli artillery shelling of Gaza City and Khan Younis. The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip has risen to 71,803 martyrs and 171,570 wounded since October 7, 2023.

The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli occupation came into effect last October, following the withdrawal of occupation forces from populated areas in the Strip and the start of the return of displaced persons to the northern Gaza Strip. This was part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza.
