Antofagasta: An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck Antofagasta Province in northern Chile on Thursday. The US Geological Survey reported that the epicenter of the quake was located 32 kilometers from the city of Ollague in the province, and it occurred at a depth of 137.4 kilometers. According to Qatar News Agency, there have been no reports of material damage or human losses following the earthquake. In 2010, Chile experienced a devastating 8.8-magnitude earthquake followed by a tsunami, which resulted in the deaths of 500 people. Chile frequently experiences earthquakes and volcanic activity due to its geographical position along the Ring of Fire.
