3 People Missing in Coal Mine Accident in Northwest China

Baiyin City: Chinese authorities announced Tuesday morning that three people were missing following an accident at a coal mine in Baiyin City, Gansu Province, northwest China.

According to Qatar News Agency, a sudden flood of water occurred in the coal mine on Monday night, while 133 workers were at the site. 130 of them were evacuated safely, while three were still missing as of this morning.

Chinese authorities immediately activated emergency response measures following the accident, and rescue and relief efforts are ongoing at the site.
