Doha: The Arab Media Forum announced Sunday that it will convene its 20th session from May 10-12, 2025, under the theme 'Media Challenges in the Era of Technological Advancement and Digital Transformation'. Secretary-General of the Arab Media Forum, Madi Abdullah Al Khamis, emphasized that the event will focus on the role of Arab media in addressing the rapid digital evolution and the challenges and opportunities it presents.
According to Qatar News Agency, the forum aims to leverage cutting-edge technologies to enhance the presence of Arab media and expand its global reach. It will place particular emphasis on the media's role in supporting cultural diversity and maintaining Arab identity. The event intends to offer comprehensive insights into the future of Arab media in light of the digital revolution, encouraging the development of innovative solutions to counter current challenges.
Al Khamis highlighted that the forum will address media topics related to public opinion formation and the impact of modern media on shaping Arab public opinion. Additionally, methods of leveraging social media platforms to promote dialogue and societal engagement will be explored. The concept of Arab media identity and ways to preserve Arab cultural identity in the era of globalization will also be discussed, along with the challenges in safeguarding domestic principles and values.
Furthermore, the event will focus on the new media economy, examining the role of digital transformation in reshaping media business models. Discussions will include ways to develop sustainable business models in a digital media environment and empowering young journalists with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the digital era.
