10 Palestinians Martyred in Israeli Shelling of Several Areas in Gaza City

Gaza City: 10 Palestinian citizens were martyred and others injured in raids launched by the Israeli occupation forces on several areas in Gaza City.

According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources reported that at least six Palestinians were martyred and a large number of citizens were injured when the Israeli occupation forces targeted a gathering of people waiting for aid near Rashid Street, northwest of Gaza City. Additionally, two Palestinians were martyred and several others were injured in Israeli shelling that targeted a group of citizens near the Baptist Hospital in the city center.

On Jaffa Street in the Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of the city, two more Palestinians were martyred, and several others were injured when Israeli warplanes targeted a group of citizens. In a related context, Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza, highlighted the rising toll of martyrs among those waiting for aid and those suffering from starvation since May 27, with the numbers exceeding 350 martyrs, over 3,000 injured, and several missing.

Basal further stated that more than 50 martyrs were martyred Tuesday due to the Israeli occupation forces' massacre of those waiting for aid in the Tahlia area in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. The Civil Defense spokesperson urged international and human rights organizations to take serious action to alleviate the suffering of Gaza Strip residents amidst the ongoing starvation policy by the Israeli entity affecting over 2 million citizens.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced earlier Tuesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 55,493 martyrs and 129,320 injured.
