Gaza: The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that over 15,600 individuals in the Gaza Strip, including 3,800 children, require immediate medical evacuation to access specialized healthcare.
According to Qatar News Agency, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reaffirmed this number in a recent statement. He has called for a ceasefire in the region and emphasized the necessity for unhindered humanitarian aid to deliver life-saving medical support.
The Gaza Strip has been under continuous Israeli assault and blockade since October 7, 2023. This ongoing conflict has resulted in 62,622 fatalities and 157,673 injuries, with women and children constituting the majority of victims.
