WHO Delivers 106 Tons of Emergency Nutrition Supplies to Gaza

Gaza: The World Health Organization (WHO) announced the safe transfer of nearly 106 metric tons of emergency nutrition supplies from Cyprus to Gaza. The shipment is being prepared for distribution to support the organization's ongoing emergency response.

According to Qatar News Agency, the delivery is part of the Humanitarian Bridge initiative, approved under UN Security Council Resolution 2720. This initiative is designed to ensure timely and scalable sea transport of essential health supplies to populations affected by crises.

The initiative aims to strengthen pre-positioning, rapid dispatch, and operational readiness across the Eastern Mediterranean. Cyprus plays a crucial role in this process, serving as a strategic logistics hub due to its proximity, approximately 370 km from Gaza, and its access to the EU market.
