US Secretary of War Dismisses Chief of Staff

Washington: US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth dismissed Army Chief of Staff General Randy George from his post today. The Department of War announced that George would retire from his position, expressing gratitude for his years of service.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry did not provide a specific reason for General George's departure. This announcement arrives amidst a strategic shift, as the U.S. military is currently bolstering its presence in the Middle East, aligning with operations targeting Iran.

General Randy George was appointed to the top Army post in 2023, a role that typically carries a four-year term. His unexpected departure has raised questions about the implications for U.S. military operations and leadership stability in a time of heightened military activity.
