Riyadh:US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has condemned the Houthi group's attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which resulted in the deaths of 12 people and injuries to hundreds more.

According to Qatar News Agency, Rubio expressed strong disapproval of the attack in a post on the X platform, emphasizing that the strike took many innocent lives, including that of an American citizen.

He described the attacks as "reprehensible" and highlighted the critical need to cease violence against civilians. Rubio reaffirmed the United States' solidarity with Saudi Arabia, offering condolences to the victims and their families.

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) reported that the attack on the airport led to 12 fatalities and 309 injuries.
