Gaza – Ma’an – In light of the ongoing war of extermination on the Gaza Strip for the twelfth consecutive month, and the resulting deprivation of the residents of the Strip from all aspects of life and rights, including the deprivation of Gaza students from completing their university education outside the Gaza Strip. At the levels (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate), which deprived thousands of students of their basic right to complete their education, and led to a state of anxiety and fear for their future, we therefore share their anxiety and hopes to be able to open the Rafah crossing, the only outlet for the residents of the Gaza Strip with the outside world, in a way that guarantees allowing thousands of students to leave the besieged Strip and complete their university education, after they were forcibly deprived of it for the second year in a row.
Based on the above, and in the absence of any vision to open the crossing, we appeal to you to quickly and seriously move, by adopting meaningful measure
s that would contribute to and assist in the exit of hundreds of students from the Gaza Strip, who have been accepted into Egyptian, Arab and international universities this year, to complete their university studies, noting that foreign universities are about to start the new year, and there are hundreds of students who have been deprived of completing their studies since last year, so we appeal to you to pressure and coordinate with students in order to allow them to travel and complete their studies. We hope that you will move now, as the students of the Gaza Strip are looking forward to your serious role, before another academic year is lost on them.
